Authentic Mighty Vape vs a Fake Mighty

A little over a year ago I ordered the Storz and Bickel Authentic Mighty Vaporizer. It is great and puts off tons of vapor but it was expensive at around $300.

I decided to order a fake mighty I found for only $115 from china. I expected a knockoff and that is what I got.

So after owning and using both for over a year I can give a detailed comparison of the authentic Mighty vape VS the fake mighty.

Ascetically it's pretty easy to spot the fake version. The fake mighty's plastic isn't nearly as nice looking and the edges are rougher. Also the display isn't quite as nice looking. Also the top doesn't fit on nearly as tightly. These things don't really bother me though. I am much more concerned about how it functions.

As far as power the authentic Mighty takes a 12v charge. While still having a 12v sticker The counterfeit takes a 9v charge.

They both charge in about the same amount of time so I'm thinking the battery capacity is probably less in the counterfeit.

The authentic Mighty gets hot much faster going from room temp to 400 degrees in 110 seconds. The fake version takes longer at around 300 seconds. Once they are hot they both put off lots of vapor but if you are passing it around or taking many consecutive rips it can fail to keep up and lose temp. The authentic mighty never struggles to keep up.

So in conclusion the fake mighty isn't bad if you are patient and vape alone often. But if you want to always get a great hit and be able to pass it around the authentic mighty is the way to go.

The mighty is a great vaporizer but where both really shine is the capsules. They can be preloaded and it makes it super easy to change out and even reload a new cartridge while the mighty is still hot.
